Peggy J. Kile, Head Coach

Peggy has been coaching for 17 years, 9 of which have been under the direction of Spring Grove Swim Club founder, Jim Gingerich. Peggy has been head coach of the club for the past 10 years and has enjoyed seeing the progress that all of the swimmers have made.

She has also been the head Swim/Diving Coach for Spring Grove High School for the past 5 years.  She enjoys the reward of seeing the swimmers progress from the club level to the high school level with success;  several swimmers have gone on to be Pa State qualifiers!

Peggy is a member of the ASCA and The PHSSCA, and has attended their clinics to help improve her coaching ability. Along with membership in these coaching organizations, she is certified by the American Red Cross to teach Water Safety, Life Guarding, First Aid and CPR/AED.  She has been employed by the Spring Grove School District for the past 18 years as a Water Safety Instructor and for the past 9 years as the Aquatics Director for the School District.

Peggy believes that each swimmer is important to the team regardless of their swimming ability. Her philosophy is that "success should be measured by seconds dropped in a swim and not by the number of blue ribbons won."
